Dinsdale Switching Station, located at the site of a former Corn Belt Power diesel plant southeast of Reinbeck, was energized July 12 at 11:52 a.m.

The switching station is interconnected to the Clutier Substation, Hicks Substation and Wellsburg Switching Station, along with an ITC transmission line, all located in Grundy County REC’s territory.

Construction began in October of 2011. The new facility will increase reliability of service to members.
