Corn Belt Power Cooperative staffed a display educating state legislators about the cooperative and its generating sources at REC Day on the Hill March 14 at the State Capitol, Des Moines.
Co-op representatives voiced their support for energy efficiency programs that are cost-effective. The co-ops also strongly support a utility’s ability to recover fixed costs associated with providing safe, reliable service, ensuring that all co-op members pay equitably to use and maintain the electric grid.
Iowa’s electric cooperatives invited legislators to a dessert social – featuring pie on 3/14 “Pi Day” – in the State Capitol’s rotunda.
