Job Description:
Corn Belt Power Cooperative, Humboldt, Iowa, is currently accepting applications for a building custodian.
Duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Perform duties and services required for the maintenance of the offices, board room and training facilities, which include: scrub floors and windows; shampooing carpets, sanitize restrooms; sweep, and vacuum floors; dusting offices; dispose of waste material from the lounge, meeting rooms, offices and restrooms.
Assist as needed in maintaining the grounds by mowing, raking, weeding, watering, edging sidewalks and curbs, trimming trees/shrubs, and taking care of plants/flowers as needed.
Check lighting in headquarters building daily and replace bulbs and tubes as necessary.
Complete seasonal maintenance by changing furnace filters, filling humidifier, and display holiday decorations.
Maintain the stock of custodial supplies and prepare material requisitions for supplies and equipment.
Organize and keep restrooms and lounges supplied with appropriate materials from inventory such as, coffee, napkins, soap, towels, toilet paper and cleaning supplies.
Arrange and set up conference/training rooms. Provide assistance in moving or rearranging office equipment and furnishings, loading or unloading supplies or equipment.
Lock and unlock the office building. Secure offices.
Ability to obtain forklift certification and be able to assist with unloading freight.
Act as back up for the warehouse clerk.

Experience:
1-3 years of custodial or building maintenance experience is required.
Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
